Collection: Turning Season

As February arrives, shop windows fill with roses and ribbons for Valentine’s Day. Yet February also brings Imbolc, an older Celtic festival that brings us a powerful reminder that the earth is awakening and the energies of spring are stirring.

Celebrated on the 1st and 2nd of February, at the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, Imbolc honours the gradual return of light, new beginnings, and the awakening energy of the land. Traditionally associated with Brigid, the Celtic goddess of fire, healing and creativity, Imbolc is a time for gentle care — tending fires, nourishing the body, and preparing for growth after winter’s rest. It is a time for slow, intentional nurturing as winter wanes and spring beckons. Imbolc reminds us that love is about kindness, warmth and also self-care.

Sweet Cecily’s – take a moment for yourself

At Sweet Cecily’s based here in Whitby, we hand-make all our natural skincare. We are inspired by nature, simplicity and time-honoured herbal ingredients to create nourishing natural skincare products, which are kind to you, kind to animals (we never test on animals) and kind to the environment.

As we emerge into Spring, Sweet Cecily’s invites you to plan gentle self-care rituals, nourish winter-worn skin, and care for yourself and others, by creating moments of calm and renewal as the light returns and energies awaken.

Take a look at our range of nurturing skincare below, all hand-made with love, by our small team, here in the beautiful seaside town of Whitby on the Yorkshire coast.
